General Setup
- Clearing Cards: Place the Winter card into the bottom third of the deck. Shuffle the main deck and place it face down in the center of the play area.
- Card Display: Draw the top 6 cards from the deck and place them face up around the central clearing.
- Starting Hands: Deal 6 cards to each player.
Player Turn Setup
- Determine a starting player.
- Play proceeds clockwise.
