A Gentle Rain

Shuffle the tiles gently and make a face down draw pile. Set one face-up in front of you. Place the eight little blossom tokens nearby. That's all the setup there is.

When you're ready, turn over the next tile and find somewhere to place it beside the one already on the table. The only rule: flower halves must match — the same color, the same petal. Let your eyes guide you.

If you can't place a tile. Discard it.

Every so often, four tiles will come together to form a small square, and a round space will open at their center. When that happens, choose a blossom token that matches one of the four flowers surrounding it, and place it there to bloom. Watch the garden slowly come to life.

Continue turning tiles, one at a time, and placing them where they feel right. The game ends when all eight blossoms have opened, or when the last tile has been placed and the rain quietly stops.

Your score, if you'd like one, is the number of blossoms you placed plus any tiles still left in the stack. The most you can ever score is 21. But scoring is entirely optional.
